Everyone was in a good mood.. and very exited about meeting their partners.
Of course we had to get ourselves and our suitcases to Lisbon first. After checking in, we heard Sofieke being announced. Her suitcases where in the plane to Lima! The pictures show how Sofieke has retrieved her bags successfully. Lucky for her and us!
We had good weather and the flight was comfortable. Driving to the school was more exiting, as we passed five car accidents on our drive to the school in Sobreda. We think it was the rain that shocked the drivers of the car. Luckily for us it stopped raining the moment we arrived at Sobreda airport!
Meeting your partner for the first time is really exiting. Looking at their best, curious about the parents and brothers and sisters, they looked for their host family. The Portugese made first contact and made it a lot easier!
After dropping the luggage at the homes and meeting at the beach, we met for dinner at eight in a restaurant in Sobreda. The food was different for some and tasty for the others! Steak with fries was an excellent choice of our hosts! After dinner we met the tribute band THE DOORS in the Knock-out club (de Pul in Sobreda) and had a nice evening. Some went home a bit earlier because they were tired of the trip and others stayed longer.
Today is family dag... we are looking forward to hearing all about their trips monday morning. They told us they would go to Lisbon, the beach, grandpa and grandma and...
